K = kapha vata samaka, pitta bardhaka, badana nasaka, dipana, pacana, hrdya, yacama nasaka, grahi, garvasaya san kicaka, vajikarana; carminative, antispasmodic, aromatic, stimulant, hemostatic, astringent, antiseptic, stomachic, germicide; oilis vascular and nervie stimulant and in large doses irritant and narcotic poison
Indications
(Uses):
K = bowel complaints such as dyspepsia, flatulence, diarrhea, vomiting, as stimulant of uterine muscular fiver used in menorrhagia and protracted labor due to defective uterine contractions. The crystalline cinnamic acid is antitubercular and often is used as injection in phthisis.

Green leaves yield oil on distillation different from bark oil. It contains eugenol with traces of cinnamic aldeyde, pinene, and linalol
